8th July 2008,Ludhiana Fumed with poor governance and state of intelligence agencies Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, Punjab State Chief, Bhartiya Janta Party, Investor Cell, avowed that Shivraj Patil, Cabinet Minister of Home Affairs in Congress led UPA Government should resign without more ado as Indians have lost faith in him and his Italian boss Sonia Gandhi, President, Indian National Congress.

Repetitive strikes in BJP ruled States from a little known militant groups, such as Babbar Khalsa and Indian Mujahideen, in cities of Ludhiana, Ajmer, Jaipur, Banglore, Ahmedabad killing hundreds of innocents in less than 10 months is uncalled for and raises enough suspicion over the character and conviction of Congress ruled Center Government.

Grewal further stated that Government and the Minister in context miserably failed in collating clinching information about over 5000 Sleeper  Cells believed to be in India, their Logistic and Financial Support Systems despite a reign of terror by these extremist groups all over the country in last 4 years.

He further affirmed that Congress Government is straightway liable for gruesome killings of innocent and unarmed people in the recent terror attacks as it had helped these terror groups by not only repealing POTA but also being silent over the anti-terror laws like GUJCOCA, enacted by Gujarat Government. The result of which is in front of all of us. He further affirmed that Congress ruled UPA Government is soft on terror on the name of pleasing minorities and further demanded that a stringent law such as POTA be enacted so that these terror groups are taken in the language they speak.

He condemned the brutal and cowardly act of these heinous perpetrators and demanded that serious efforts be made by all political parties to formulate an integrated Action Plan to counter this deadly evil. He affirmed his condolences to those who lost their loved ones in these attacks and requested the people to help maintain peace and tranquility in this crisis.
